Gresham

Picture
Five miles from the coast and made up of the straggling villages of Upper and Lower Gresham, this is the most inland of all the parishes in the benefice.  The Village is the home to the only Primary School in the benefice, Gresham Village Primary.  The village has associations with the Paston family who once owned the ruined castle in the parish and with Sir Thomas Gresham, founder of Gresham's school in Holt.
The living is under the patronage of the Guild of All Souls one of the Anglo-Catholic societies.  Once firmly in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, the churchmanship is now of a more moderate character, but is still traditional in flavour with services every week, either Holy Communion or Prayer Book Matins.    The church is kept open during daylight hours.
